Meet jesse Snyder
owner/founder of Monterey Personal Training

More than a personal trainer, my physiological sciences education gives me the unique ability to address a wide variety of wellness-related issues. My vision for people's well-being transcends beyond the gym environment. People's health is a serious matter for me. As a trainer with an academic background in the physiological sciences, I have the opportunity to stand in a unique position to help address a wide variety of health and wellness-related issues. I wanted to help people live longer, happier, and healthier lives.

I have over 13 years of personal training and coaching experience, with over 4500 hours taught. As a science-based personal trainer, I pride myself on staying on the cutting edge of fitness and health research to help empower clients to start living in a way congruent to them. I'm looking to develop lifelong exercisers excited to achieve their own unique goals.

I am a serial bootstrapped solo entrepreneur who has consulted with 8 figure tech start-ups, a seasoned real estate investor, and a guest lecturer at CSUMB on “Pain and Injury Management in Personal Training”. While starting my first business, Transcend Training, I beat homelessness and poverty using the substantial challenges I experienced during my upbringing to create a life and business that brings me immense happiness and meaning. These lessons and skills are an integral part of my practice, with many of my clients finding these experiences enlightening for their own lives. I am living proof that all your dreams can come true, even in the darkest of times.

I have helped clients lose 110 pounds, come back from debilitating back pain to deadlift over 400 pounds, gain muscle on frames that have been incredibly lean their whole lives, and showed many nonactive and completely sedentary people the joys of partaking in lifelong physical activity. Staving off the myriad of poor health outcomes physical inactivity may cause over the lifespan.

On average, my clients stay with me 12 times longer than your typical trainer. Even after their goals are achieved, clients often stay with me given my knack for consistent positivity, rational problem-solving, and a growth mindset. In a world where many are disenfranchised, I try to be a beam of light. Oftentimes clients and I collaborate on challenging problems within their personal lives, seeking workable solutions that enable greater happiness and relieve suffering.

If you’re ready for this year to be the year your life changes for the better, feel free to reach out.
